Heart of the Valley - Services for Seniors, Inc.

Heart of the Valley, SERVICES FOR SENIORS, Inc. (HOV), is a non-profit, publicly supported 501 (c)(3) corporation, committed to facilitating, advocating and supporting independent living for seniors residing in West Santa Clara County. HOV has its roots from the Santa Clara Methodist Retirement Foundation (SCMRF). In 1986 the Board of SCMRF created an agency to help those seniors waiting to get into available HUD housing. Thus Heart of the Valley began assisting seniors. Currently, HOV has 190+ volunteers who provide assistance with house projects, yardwork, handyman repairs, technical assistance, HHW disposal, 5D medication take-back, and more. Hopefully soon, as Covid subsides and in-person interactions are once again safe, HOV will be able to resume our transportation and in-home house project services.
